Guvernul Italiei a aprobat condiţionat vânzarea companiei Iveco către producătorul indian Tata Motors, potrivit unui document parlamentar publicat recent și citat de Reuters.
Decizia a fost luată pe 31 octombrie, iar aprobarea este însoţită de anumite condiţii legate de protejarea intereselor strategice ale Italiei, având în vedere rolul companiei Iveco în industria auto şi în producţia de vehicule militare, citează News.ro.
Tata Motors a convenit în iulie să cumpere Iveco, într-o tranzacţie estimată la 3,8 miliarde de euro (4,36 miliarde de dolari). În paralel, Iveco a ajuns la un acord separat pentru vânzarea diviziei sale de apărare către grupul italian Leonardo, susţinut de stat.
Aprobarea condiţionată vine în cadrul aşa-numitului mecanism de „golden power” (putere de aur) al guvernului italian, care permite intervenţia statului în tranzacţiile ce implică active considerate strategice pentru economie sau securitate naţională.
