Cofondatorul gigantului tehnologic rus Yandex, Arkadi Voloj, și-a luat oficial rămas bun vineri de la cei 20.000 de angajați ai grupului, după ce a demisionat în iunie, ca urmare a primelor sancțiuni internaționale din cauza invaziei din Ucraina, potrivit AFP.

„Este timpul să scriu un mesaj de adio (…) După cum știți, nu am mai condus Yandex Rusia de mult timp și anul acesta a trebuit să părăsesc toate pozițiile” din conducere, a scris el într-un mesaj intern către companie, confirmat pentru AFP de o sursă la curent cu schimburile.
La începutul lunii iunie, el a demisionat de la conducerea Yandex, principalul motor de căutare din Rusia, pe care l-a co-fondat în 1997, după ce a fost sancționat individual de Uniunea Europeană în legătură cu Ucraina.
„Yandex este proiectul vieții mele, dar nu numai al meu. Timp de 30 de ani am făcut acest lucru împreună, de la zero, în contextul unei competiții globale”, și-a amintit Arkadi Voloj, în vârstă de 58 de ani.
De asemenea, el a considerat planul de restructurare al companiei „complet rezonabil și necesar” „în condițiile actuale”.
La începutul lunii decembrie, Alexei Kudrin, un apropiat al lui Vladimir Putin, a declarat că se alătură Yandex în calitate de „consilier de dezvoltare”, la câteva zile după ce conducerea a anunțat o reorganizare a grupului.
