Compania Meta ajunge din nou sub acuzație, problema fiind de data aceasta o operațiune „masivă” și „ilegală” de colectare a datelor a sute de milioane de utilizatori, potrivit Il Corriere della Sera, citat de Rador Radio România.

Joi dimineață, relatează Reuters, compania lui Mark Zuckerberg a primit plângeri privind gestionarea vieții private a cetățenilor din opt grupuri de consumatori din Uniunea Europeană şi cererea de a lua măsuri împotriva companiei pentru presupusa încălcare a regulilor, atunci când datele utilizatorului vor fi recuperate.
Țările care solicită intervenția prin autoritățile respective care supraveghează și protejează utilizatorii și datele acestora sunt Danemarca, Grecia, Franța, Norvegia, Cehia, Slovacia, Slovenia și Spania.
Potrivit organizațiilor consumatorilor, Meta nu respectă GDPR. Ursula Pachl, director general adjunct al Organizației Europene a Consumatorilor (BEUC, care supraveghează grupurile din 45 de țări), a declarat că „Modelele de afaceri bazate pe supraveghere pun tot felul de probleme în temeiul GDPR și este timpul ca autoritățile de protecție a datelor să oprească prelucrarea ilegală de către Meta”.
Acuzația se concentrează în principal pe colectarea de date și informații asupra cărora utilizatorii nu își pot da consimțământul în mod voluntar, precum orientarea sexuală, starea emoțională, sau dependența de anumite…
