Dacia testează Duster 3 la centrul tehnic de la Titu, producția în uzină va începe până la final de an, iar mașina va fi lansată în primele luni din 2024. Prima generație Duster a fost lansată în 2010, iar a doua, șapte ani mai târziu. SUV-ul reprezintă două treimi din producția totală de la Mioveni și va avea și versiune hibridă. La uzină se fabrică 200.000 de mașini Duster/an.

„S-a început deja lucrul la centrul de la Titu, mașina rulează pe pistele de acolo. Fabricația de test va începe în următoarele săptămâni și Duster va ajunge pe piață în prima jumătate din 2024, dar sperăm să fie cât mai la începutul anului”, a spus pentru HotNews.ro, Mihai Bordeanu, country manager la Dacia România. Duster 3 este acum în faza de „industrializare”.
În prezent, Duster reprezintă 65% din mașinile produse la Mioveni, ceea ce înseamnă aproximativ 900 de mașini/zi, dar fabricația este flexibilă și poate fi adaptată, dacă ar fi nevoie să se producă 1.100 pe zi (dacă cererea va fi mare).
Printre pregătirile care se fac la uzină pentru noul Duster se numără creșterea ratei de robotizare de la secția Caroserii de la 44%, la 52%. Alte pregătiri vor urma, pentru ca în 2025 să înceapă producția Bigster, cel mai mare model din istoria Dacia la capitolul dimensiuni.
