Vorbind miercuri la Detroit la un eveniment dedicat presei libere, William Ford a spus că, chiar dacă rata creșterii livrărilor de mașini electrice a scăzut, la nivel global ele sunt adoptate rapid și că producătorul auto se adaptează acestei tendințe, chiar dacă între timp se bazează pe autoturisme tradiționale și hibrid.
Luna trecută administrația președintelui Joe Biden le-a oferit producătorilor auto din Detroit o victorie majoră, relaxând regulile care i-ar fi forțat să își reducă producția de mașini cu motoare cu combustie internă sub amenințarea unor amenzi ce se puteau ridica la miliarde de dolari.
