Jim Farley, directorul general al Ford, spune că avansul producătorilor auto chinezi pe segmentul de vehicule electrice este atât de mare încât abia mai există o competiție reală din partea companiilor americane, relatează Business Insider.
„Realitatea competitivă este că chinezii sunt în industria vehiculelor electrice gorile de peste 300 de kilograme”, a declarat Farley în ultimul episod al Decoder, un podcast găzduit de site-ul tech The Verge.
„Nu există o competiție reală din partea Tesla, GM (n.r. General Motors) sau Ford în comparație cu ceea ce am văzut din partea Chinei. Ea domină complet peisajul global al vehiculelor electrice și asta tot mai mult și în afara Chinei”, a adăugat el.
