Consiliul Concurenței a anunțat miercuri că a sancționat companiile Philip Morris Trading, Interbrands Orbico și Mediaposte Hit Mail cu amenzi în valoare totală de 135,2 milioane lei (26,6 milioane euro), pentru participarea la înțelegeri anticoncurențiale pe piața produselor din tutun încălzit.
Amenzile au fost aplicate astfel:
- Philip Morris Trading SRL: 78.688.820 lei
- Interbrands Orbico SRL: 52.118.418 lei
- Mediaposte Hit Mail SA: 4.451.897 lei.
În urma unei investigații, autoritatea de concurență a constatat că între Philip Morris Trading SRL și fiecare dintre distribuitorii Interbrands Orbico SRL și Mediaposte Hit Mail SA existau înțelegeri ce vizau fixarea prețurilor de revânzare pentru produsele din tutun încălzit IQOS ale Philip Morris.
Practic, spune autoritatea, stabileau prețurile la care produsele IQOS urmau a fi revândute clienţilor, precum și discounturile aplicate în cadrul promoţiilor derulate de către Interbrands Orbico SRL în insulele (standurile) IQOS și de către Mediaposte Hit Mail SA pe site-ul iqos.ro.
