Producătorul american de cipuri de memorie Micron Technology a declarat vineri că angajații săi din Taiwan vor primi, pentru anul fiscal 2026, prime echivalente cu între 35 și 68 de salarii lunare, în contextul în care compania e pusă sub presiune de sindicate, relatează Reuters.
Micron a declarat că aceste plăți acordate angajaților sunt cele mai mari din istoria companiei și că peste 60.000 de angajați la nivel global vor primi recompense aferente anului fiscal 2026, „în urma unui an extraordinar pentru companie”.
Anunțul vine după ce sindicatele care reprezintă aproximativ două treimi din forța de muncă a Micron din Taiwan au semnalat un sprijin larg din partea membrilor pentru declanșarea unei greve.
Sindicatul din Taoyuan a declarat vineri într-un comunicat că nu a ajuns la un consens cu conducerea Micron în disputa aflată în desfășurare și că solicită în continuare modificări ale sistemului de recompensare al companiei, astfel încât 15% din profitul operațional să fie alocat primelor pentru angajați.
„Dacă firma nu va răspunde acestor solicitări, sindicatul va continua să facă demersuri în vederea declanșării unei greve”, a declarat acesta.
