Cele mai importante două bănci din România, Banca Transilvania și Banca Comercială Română, au înregistrat rezultate financiare diferite, între ianuarie și martie 2020, conform unor rezultate oficiale anunțate în această săptămână.
În primul trimestru din 2020, BCR a înregistrat un profit net de 428,3 milioane de lei (echivalentul a 89,3 milioane de euro), ceea ce reprezintă o creştere cu 60% faţă de aceeași perioadă a anului trecut.
BCR înregistrase, în primul trimestru din 2019, un profit net de 267,9 milioane de lei (56,6 milioane de euro).
În schimb, tot în primul trimestru al acestui an, Banca Transilvania a înregistrat un profit net de 260,99 milioane lei, în scădere cu 40% faţă de aceeaşi perioadă a anului trecut.
Banca Transilvania afișase, în intervalul ianuarie-martie 2020, un rezultat net de 436,07 milioane lei.
Sergiu Manea, directorul general al BCR, a declarat: „Societatea şi mediul de business s-au transformat dramatic în ultimele luni, dar cel mai important este că am reuşit să ne adaptăm rapid la noua realitate. Ştim ce îi preocupă pe clienţii noştri: incertitudinea, scăderea business-urilor, pierderea joburilor, sănătatea angajaţilor şi suntem pregătiţi să salvăm cât mai multe locuri de muncă. Suntem puternici.
Strategia implementată în ultimii ani, ce a inclus digitalizarea rapidă şi precauţie în evaluarea riscurilor, îşi dovedeşte validitatea. Avem un rol important în repornirea economiei şi suntem pregătiţi să ni-l asumăm. Pe de altă parte, Ömer Tetik, director general al Băncii Transilvania, a declarat: „Am început anul în forţă, dar după primele două luni am început ajustarea rapidă la noua realitate şi ne-am focusat total pe suportul clienţilor, economiei, autorităţilor şi comunităţilor.
Echipa BT a contribuit cu brio la cea mai mare infrastructură de plăţi şi de credit din România chiar şi în aceste condiţii adverse. Avem o amprentă semnificativă atât în piaţa de retail, cât şi în piaţa IMM şi ne asumăm rolul de susţinere a economiei. Banca este bine pregătită financiar şi ca organizare internă pentru a ne susţine clienţii şi comunitatea. Rezultatele din primul trimestru nu fac decât să arate încă o dată acest lucru“.
